Gateway85 CID invests in placemaking projects that strengthen the district’s identity and create a more welcoming environment for businesses, property owners, employees and visitors. Through enhancements such as district signage, banners, landscaping and other beautification efforts, the CID is helping create a stronger sense of place throughout Gateway85.
These projects do more than improve the look of the district. They help define Gateway85 as a connected, vibrant business community and create an environment that reflects the people and businesses that call it home.
Welcome to Gateway85
In summer 2024, Gateway85 installed new district banners featuring the word “Welcome” in four languages: English, Spanish, Korean and Vietnamese.
The banners celebrate the cultural diversity of the Gateway85 community and reflect the international businesses and workforce that contribute to the district. Installed along key corridors, they also add color and a recognizable Gateway85 identity to the streetscape.
The award-winning banners are one example of how Gateway85 is using placemaking to create a district that feels welcoming, distinctive and connected. Additional projects will continue building on that identity throughout the community.
