Gateway85 CID is committed to maintaining a clean, attractive and welcoming environment across the entire district. Through regular litter removal, seasonal cleanups and special projects, the CID works year-round to improve safety, mobility and curb appeal — supporting both public use and private investment. Whether it is clearing storm drains, removing illegal dumping or revitalizing public areas, our goal is to keep Gateway85 a place people are proud to live, work and visit.
Enhancing Weaver Way
In February 2025, Gateway85 launched extensive cleanup efforts along Weaver Way, covering two miles of roadway. Work included trash pickup, curb and gutter cleaning, tree trimming, catch basin maintenance and edging. These improvements support not just beautification, but also safety and mobility — helping prevent flooding, clearing road obstructions and improving traffic conditions by cleaning manholes and drainage infrastructure.
Revitalizing Beaver Ruin Creek
Also in February 2025, cleanup began along Beaver Ruin Creek, underneath Indian Trail Boulevard. So far, Gateway85 has removed 170 50-gallon bags of trash from the site — and the work continues. This initiative lays the groundwork for a future pedestrian trail planned by Gwinnett County, making this both an environmental and community investment.
Detailing Gwinnett’s Gateway: A District-Wide Cleanup Effort
In October 2024, Gateway85 partnered with Gibson Landscape for Detailing Gwinnett’s Gateway, the largest cleanup operation in CID history. As part of National Cleanup Month, nine crews and 40 workers cleaned nearly 100 miles of roadway across 20 priority locations.

In addition to regular weekly trash pickups, crews removed more than 150 bags of debris, including larger items like tires, pallets, mattresses and tents — helping to eliminate blight and restore key corridors throughout the district.
Cleanup locations included: Harbins Road, Financial Drive, S. Norcross Tucker Road, N. Norcross Tucker Road, Old Norcross Tucker Road, Nancy Hanks Drive, Button Gwinnett Drive, Best Friend Road, Pelican Road, Live Oak Road, Jimmy Carter Boulevard (from Peachtree Industrial Boulevard to Highway 29), Mitchell Road, Beaver Ruin Road (to Arch Road), Indian Trail Road (to Dickens Road), Oakbrook Parkway, McDonough Drive, Graves Road, Singleton Road, Crescent Drive and the I-85 Corridor.
