Frequent truck traffic along Jimmy Carter Boulevard had caused rutting and wear in the landscaped areas near intersections, creating ongoing maintenance challenges and reducing the corridor’s visual appeal. To address the issue, Gateway85 CID added a 4-foot strip of red stamped concrete — designed to resemble brick — to the truck aprons throughout the corridor.
The enhancements, completed in October 2025, provide trucks with a wider turning radius and protect adjacent landscaping from damage. The result is a more durable and attractive streetscape for both drivers and pedestrians.
