A new intersection improvement project is underway at McDonough Drive and Dawson Boulevard, designed to improve safety and traffic flow along this key corridor within the Gateway85 district.
The project will reconfigure the existing intersection to better organize traffic lanes and improve turning movements. Planned enhancements include updated lane striping and targeted roadway adjustments to reduce confusion, support more efficient travel and improve access to nearby businesses.
By clarifying traffic patterns and streamlining vehicle movements, these improvements will create a safer, more predictable experience for drivers traveling through the corridor.
Project Status
The project kicked off in March 2026. Underground utility locate work is currently underway, with completion expected in the coming months.
