Gateway85 CID is advancing a multi-phase Pedestrian Lighting District along Jimmy Carter Boulevard to improve safety, visibility and walkability for everyone who lives, works or travels through the corridor. The project includes both streetlights and pedestrian-scale lighting from Rockbridge Road to Buford Highway.
Phase I of the project is complete, featuring 34 pedestrian lights and 26 streetlights installed along Jimmy Carter Boulevard, from Brook Hollow Parkway to Live Oak Parkway.
Phase II is also complete, continuing the improvements from Live Oak Parkway to Rockbridge Road with 26 pedestrian lights and five additional streetlights.
Phase III of the Pedestrian Lighting District will extend lighting improvements from Brook Hollow Parkway to Buford Highway.
